  As primeiras duas bienais da Bahia (1966 e 1968)em uma releitura contemporânea.
bienal retorna ao estado 46 anos após a última edição, fechada pelo Regime Militar dois dias após sua abertura.
 Até 7 de setembro, a capital e os municípios participantes serão invadidos por alguma espécie de ação cultural, envolvendo movimentos com participação social.

        Vale ainda destacar que a 3 ª Bienal da Bahia está sendo desenvolvida cuidadosamente por um  grupo de curadores de diferentes partes do Brasil e com experiência em grandes eventos nacionais e internacionais

 Marcelo Rezende (escritor, crítico e diretor do MAM-BA), Ayrson Heráclito (artista visual e professor) e Ana Pato (pesquisadora e ex-diretora executiva da Associação Cultural Videobrasil) formam o conselho curatorial. A equipe se complementa com a presença de Fernando Oliva (crítico e pesquisador) e Alejandra
Muñoz (professora e pesquisadora)

 saber de que modo a tradição e a história do nordeste brasileiro podem ser lidas como experiências humanas universais .
   A Bienal de 2014 marca o importante resgate de sua história e memória, sem deixar de lado a necessidade de atualizar as intenções originais das primeiras edições.

  know that the tradition and the history of Brazil's northeast mode can be read as universal human experiences.
  The Biennale 2014 marks the rescue of its important history and memory, without neglecting the need to update the original intentions of the first editions.
